Join us on Piermont Pier at the Hudson River Field Station (200 Ferry Rd, Piermont NY 10968) to celebrate the importance of a resilient and equitably shared waterfront through a series of fun and educational activities. Participants will get a chance to seine in a wadable section of the Hudson off the pier, help us to identify the species caught, learn about how climate change is impacting the Hudson watershed, and gain an understanding of how sea-level rise will impact local communities. This free, family-friendly event is from 11:00 am- 3:00 pm and is part of a larger region-wide day organized by Waterfront Alliance and New York–New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP), to champion a climate-resilient New York and New Jersey Harbor.
