CTL-SPS SCOM Spring 2026 Collaboration.
Friday, March 27th, 12-1pm (Online)
Join us for this hands-on workshop in which faculty will explore practical strategies for integrating generative AI into their courses. We will investigate ways AI can be used to quickly generate and refine items such as rubrics, quiz questions, and case studies, while considering the strengths and limitations of each approach. Next, we will discuss strategies to make assignments more “AI-resistant” (or “AI-aware”) to mitigate student overreliance on AI while promoting student learning, engagement, agency, and critical thinking skills.
Session Objectives:
- Identify ways AI can assist in designing and refining learning materials.
- Design assignments that deter student misuse of generative AI.
- Apply frameworks for critical AI literacy to help students evaluate and reflect on AI-generated content within their learning contexts.
