Teacher & Educator Workshops
In preparation for the 2026 Day in the Life sampling event October 6th, 2026 we are holding two field focused workshops so our teachers and educators can learn, prepare and refresh their skills and a Master's Workshop on Electrofishing: What can it tell us about our watershed? All our workshops are free but please keep in mind that workshop space is limited so be sure to sign up in advance and let us know if plans change and you will not be attending so that we can plan accordingly.
2026 IN-PERSON HUDSON RIVER ESTUARY FIELD TRAINING: Join us for one of our in person training sessions to learn and review the various parameters we measure, data collection techniques, and learn tips and tricks for how to make your field experience with students go smoothy. These workshops are an opportunity to ask questions of ‘experts’, seasoned teacher participants and learn from each other!
- August 19th, 9:30 am - 3:00 pm, at the Center for the Urban River at Beczak, Sarah Lawrence College (CURB), 35 Alexander St, Yonkers, NY 10701. Please note that participants at this workshop are eligible to received free CTLE credits through arrangement with CURB and Sarah Lawrence College.
