For the past 30 plus years, I have served in various capacities in managing, planning, and implementation of our institution’s research computing, administrative solutions and projects, and campus infrastructure and services.
As the Director, and the Chief Technologist, I am responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of computational needs of Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University.
I lead a team dedicated to strategic and operational planning and implementation of IT infrastructure and services. Overseeing the assessment, deployment, and maintenance of both existing and upcoming initiatives, while ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our production services.
We partner with our research groups to compliment researchers and administrators in effectively utilizing computing, storage, networking, security resources to advance this world-renowned Earth Sciences research institution with a mission to seek fundamental knowledge about the origin, evolution and future of the natural world.
