Gary C. Comer Geochemistry Building, 61 Route 9W, Palisades, NY 10964 Seminar Room

Join us on March 25th from 12:30 to 2:00 pm in the Comer Seminar Room for a transformative event centered around a Living Land Acknowledgment Workshop. In collaboration with the Lenape people, we invite you to explore the significance of establishing meaningful relationships with the indigenous community.

This workshop goes beyond the conventional practice of recognizing the traditional custodians of the land; it delves into the living aspect of acknowledgment, emphasizing the ongoing connection between individuals and the land's indigenous history. Through engaging discussions, and guidance from members of the Lenape community, participants will gain valuable insights into the profound importance of acknowledging and respecting the land's original inhabitants. By participating in this workshop, you contribute to fostering a spirit of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration. Let's come together to build bridges, honor the land we inhabit, and cultivate meaningful connections with the indigenous communities that enrich our shared heritage.

Seats are limited so please register in advance. Registration opens Monday, March 11th at 9:00 am.
