Daniel Babin
Daniel Babin is a geologist, climate scientist, and science communicator from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He recently completed his Ph.D. at Columbia University, which focused on the impacts of changes in ocean bottom water oxygen on the global carbon system. He's allied with Co-Founding Dean of the Climate School Maureen Raymo as a postdoctoral researcher to probe topics related to metal deposits on the seafloor called polymetallic nodules that might be a powerful source of raw materials to fuel the green energy transition.
